| My neighbor stopped in one day, in the Fall of 1998, on my dad's farm, needing a hand to help clean up the houses he was building as a developer
I was excited to be offered a job off the farm, even if it was picking up trash and sweeping dusty floors. It wasn't long till I was helping with the finishing touches on the homes,
like installing shutters and putting on door knobs. After a while, the trim carpenter on these jobs decided I was the guy he needed to help him with the trim work. We also installed the kitchens & stair railings. I found that I was meant to be a detail person and loved fine carpentry. It was through this experience as a stock cabinet installer that my passion for high quality custom cabinets was born. Some of the stock cabinets fell apart when we pulled them out of the boxes. I dreamed of having my own cabinet shop someday... Opportunity struck in 2007 when the contractor we were working for needed a rustic kitchen made of reclaimed barn wood. So, we went to work and made the kitchen on-site. One job led to another and soon, we were working in this contractor's shop making cabinetry for his clients. In 2010, we set up our own shop and started advertising as a custom cabinet manufacturing company. It was very important to me that our cabinets were built out of high quality materials, and that our end product was valued above industry standards. We used components like solid wood, dove-tailed drawers, locally made solid wood doors, and a superior 2 part conversion varnish and paint. We decided that the cabinets we built would last a long time and backed it up with a 20 year warranty against defective parts. Today, 25 years after sweeping dusty floors, we continue with the same desire to produce custom cabinetry of the highest standards, whether it be traditional, transitional or modern, so you can enjoy your cabinets for many years to come! |
